What are Active Driver Feedback and WEBFLEET OptiDrive™?

Active Driver Feedback and WEBFLEET Optidrive™ are the two most recent additions to TomTom’s safety and efficiency solutions for businesses. Active Driver Feedback reflects TomTom’s belief in the empowerment of the driver as a key success factor in safe driving policies. The Active Driver Feedback promotes a safe driving style with active feedback on the driver’s performance on the screen of the TomTom PRO navigation device while WEBFLEET OptiDrive™ helps management in establishing a more efficient, safer and greener driving policy by viewing the OptiDrive indicator in clear visual graphs.

What is WORKsmart-Safety?

WORKsmart™-Safety helps to protect employees while driving on the road. The solution shows you which drivers are putting themselves and one’s business at risk with at-a-glance visualizations in TomTom WEBFLEET® while encouraging drivers to adopt a safe and efficient driving behaviour through key driving-style indicators on their TomTom PRO device screen.

The WORKsmart-Safety system has four benefits that focus on both Driver and Management:

Empowering drivers is crucial in establishing a safe driving policy. WORKsmart- Safety help drivers relax and keep their eyes on the road – and their hands on the wheel – through features like text-to-speech and hands-free calling support. Moreover, they contribute to promote safer driving through Active Driver Feedback, which will highlight any potentially dangerous event such as harsh steering, sudden braking or speeding, directly on their TomTom PRO screen giving them real tools to keep the road safe for themselves and others.

In the meantime, back in the office, the visual OptiDrive™ indicator in WEBFLEET makes it easy for Management to interpret driving behavior data through icons and values, so that interventions in regards to driving events or fuel efficiency can be done in a matter of seconds. Business Management will also be able to minimize the risk of costly sudden breakdowns simply by importing live odometer data directly into one’s maintenance scheduling program: well maintained vehicles are safer vehicles (and cheaper to run, too!).

Finally, WORKsmart-Safety gives Management an insight on working hours of any driver, making it easy to plan and manage drivers’ workloads. This is particularly important for truck drivers, where every minute must be accounted for. WORKsmart- Safety makes it possible to transmit the truck’s tachograph data directly into WEBFLEET in real time, so it is always clear who is approaching the legal driving limit and who has time to spare.
